The challenge

Near the Portuguese seaside resort of Cascais, the sun shines in the bright blue sky and makes its light dance on the clear water. This is how the friendly locals and their vacation guests love it. Everyone wants it to stay like this forever.

What could not stay, however, was the old Victor's Portugal website. The design was long outdated and new photos, videos and texts were waiting to inspire regular and new guests with a fresh look.

The question for XPORT was: Can we combine the stylish elegance of the vacation villas with the typical melancholy of Portugal? How do we convey that "Emoção!" on the website that makes a vacation so special? Our answer: "Lógico!"

In addition to this requirement, the new hotel website was also intended to increase booking occupancy in the low season. Direct online booking was deliberately avoided. The Victor's wanted the booking process to be as individual as the villas themselves. All inquiries are processed personally.

The editorial team wanted a CMS that is easy, fast and intuitive to use as a solid tool for online marketing measures and extensive content work. Especially because the individual house types are presented in detail: Floor plan, features, location and lots of pictures.

Some information was stored in PDF documents until the website relaunch. This content should now also become part of the website.

The result

Victor's Portugal has beautiful villas near the beach on the Portuguese Riviera. Now also a tasteful website from XPORT. We would have loved to have had the development of the new website rewarded with a stay in one of the villas and spoiled ourselves with wine, oil and freshly caught fish. After all, you can work creatively anywhere.

Solução! The solution

Inspired by fado, inspired by port wine and with Luis Figo in mind: this is how our screen designers approached the task.

Clear typography, sensitive pastel colors, large emotional or framed pictures: all this gives the villa website the grandeur that elegantly dressed Portuguese people exude when strolling around in the evening.

We designed the villa reservation inquiry process to be user-oriented. Various filters help guests to find "their" villa. Placed on the relevant pages, the request is optimally accessible.

The new vacation home website was developed "mobile first", as potential vacation guests are increasingly searching for their vacation destination using a mobile device. Prices are also being compared more and more on mobile devices and reviews are being read on smartphones. Regardless of whether the user is using the German, English, Spanish, Portuguese or French version of the villa website.
