Old things last: After more than 20 years of successful collaboration with XPORT, it was time for the third website relaunch of the Hamburg boutique hotel The George.
The hotel has given its stylish rooms a contemporary makeover and they now shine brighter than ever before. The old website, on the other hand, was kept in a dark style, which simply no longer matched the new, lively look of the rooms. Therefore, the website needed to be spruced up a bit without losing any of the design elements and colors that make the hotel unmistakable - after all, the aim is to attract more new guests, but also for the loyal regulars to recognize "their" George.
And while we're at it: even more guest- and hotel-friendly than ever before, please!

Elegance and freshness combined with an interplay of light and dark, just like the recently renovated rooms. Retaining the unmistakable George look and at the same time creating a modern interpretation - these were the requirements for the new website.
The website was a multi-domain/muti-site project, i.e. it shares the same structure as its sister hotel Gastwerk. This makes it easier to maintain both websites, which in turn means significant cost savings for the hotel. And it should stay that way. It was therefore a challenging project for our programmers, which was nevertheless mastered with flying colors.
Not only has the design been spruced up, but some new features have also been added to make the site shine in new splendor and make browsing a real experience.
A conference configurator has been embedded into the event pages, allowing interested parties to plan their desired event in advance down to the smallest detail and thus save time.
Detailed information is also provided on other pages such as the blog or the area tips page. Specific search and filter options allow visitors to quickly find what interests them and is relevant to them.
We have integrated a chatbot from DialogShift so that visitors can be supported around the clock with advice and assistance.
A special feature is the social wall. Here, visitors can find out directly about the latest news from the hotel's social media platforms.
And last but not least, the IBE is always present and easily accessible from every page. After all, visitors should not just marvel at the website, but at the hotel itself.

Just as it should be, the new website of The George gives the original elements and colors a fresh kick.
From a technical point of view, it is not only functional and conversion-optimized, but also visitor-friendly with a certain fun factor.
